Hello there,
Life has somehow been gathering enormous speed over the last month. A number of factors have combined to make life feel much busier, but also much more enjoyable and full of possibility. As a result, I am behind on my listening and reviewing, but I am also about to return to it with much renewed interest! (In my defense, it’s hard to listen to other things when the first two Jesus and Mary Chain albums remain endlessly fulfilling to listen to.)
Having said that, here are my August Bandcamp Recommendations.
Coming Very Soon:
My Summer 2021 Mixtape, “Sweet and Low,” currently being mastered, should be available by the end of the week (no, it does not contain the Very Good Fugazi Song “Sweet and Low,” but it is equal parts sweet and slutty, in keeping with the set dynamic of the Summer of Jesus and Mary Chain)
“Charting Fred Thomas’ Course of Invention,” a Lifetime Achievement piece for Bandcamp dot com dropping very soon
Much more regular haiku reviews on Very Good Haiku/Bandcamp Comments as I get caught up with promos and new releases over the next couple weeks
